Six Sentence Sunday

My second attempt at this, after seeing others do it, most notably elin_gregory.

Go to the website here and there are links to click that will whizz you all around the world to read bits of stories from gritty sci fi, dystopian future, spine chilling horror and lots of romance/erotica! Something to suit every taste.

My six this week come from a little further on in my current short story, 'Heirs and Graces'. Edward's interview with his father is finally over, although he now has to deal with the consequences:

Stuffing his tie into a pocket as the study door closed behind him, Edward briefly considered going down to the kitchens. He missed chatting to Cook and her girls. Staff had a nasty tendency to talk however, and so far only Hancock knew of his visit.

Reluctantly, Edward turned on his heel and headed outside to the borrowed Rolls. If he set off now he might be back in time for an event he'd heard was being organised by that upstart Armstrong-Jones. One of his merry band of hangers-on was bound to be up for a diversion that would take Edward's mind off the upcoming nuptials.

I'm still hoping that this will give me extra writing momentum in months when there's no picowrimo.
