Linda sat at the table, angling her chair to view the drawings in the best possible light. The left-hand page was covered in small, seemingly hurried views of the car from different angles, and of individual details. The right-hand page was filled with a single picture of the car, viewed from the side and a little to the rear. Areas of green shading gave a reasonable impression of sun and shadow, and enough of the background was filled in to indicate that the car was parked in front of high, spiked, metal railings and tall, stone gateposts at the entrance to a long driveway. In the distance, he had outlined the vaguest impression of a large gothic building.
