A Short Sunday Visit to Matlock Bath Part Two

In my previous post, I'd made it as far as two pubs that might fit as models for a scene I was plotting out:
Matlock Bath 230613 (17)

I then continued my rather pressed-for-time exploration, in order to plot out the rest of the scene.

If I remember rightly, the road was more level with the fronts of the buildings back in the seventies, so buildings round about at this spot, would give a good view of either pub's main door:
Matlock Bath 230613 (21)

And if one wanted to hide a car, prior to undertaking surveillance, what better spot, than up this street:
Matlock Bath 230613 (37) Matlock Bath 230613 (39)

The pub at the bottom of that hill, would suit my plot even better, but I'm not sure there's anywhere suitable across the road where I could visualise a pub from which to observe it:
Matlock Bath 230613 (42) Matlock Bath 230613 (41)

Having walked out of their pub, our targets walk past our vantage point, crossing the road to walk towards the old pavillion and then along the path down the side of it:
Matlock Bath 230613 (22)

Matlock Bath 230613 (23) Matlock Bath 230613 (25)

The route thus far has plenty of good areas of shelter, assuming this is all taking place at night:
Matlock Bath 230613 (26)

We then enter Derwent Gardens, which are more open, but contain plenty of trees and buildings to provide spots of shelter:
Matlock Bath 230613 (27) Matlock Bath 230613 (28)

Matlock Bath 230613 (29) Matlock Bath 230613 (30)

Ducking behind this tree, we find a path that was probably less well defined in earlier years:
Matlock Bath 230613 (31) Matlock Bath 230613 (34)

The first of this pair is exactly the tree I'd been visualising for the scene, while the second is a little smaller than I'd hoped for, but maybe there used to be something larger there before:

The joys of location scouting once again...
