Weekend Writing Warriors

It's Sunday again, and time for another round of Weekend Writing Warriors. I'm still working on Finding Rupert as my main WiP, and I'm more or less on target for the month. Following on directly from last week's eight, Rupert is still trying to find out about his uncle:

"Is it true that his Bentley had been stolen but no one knew until after he'd died?"

"Not exactly." Papa seemed to be choosing his words carefully. "It wasn't the Bentley, it was a Rover, and it hadn't been stolen, so much as parked in an out of the way place then forgotten about in all the upset of your uncle and grandfather's accident."

"How can anyone just forget about a car?" More to the point, how could Papa overlook any vehicle, whether it was valuable or interesting or neither?

"That's a very good question." Papa leaned over and rubbed the head of one of his dogs – Fangless the lurcher, who was lying slightly closer to his chair than Flyte the retriever.

To see what the others have been writing, go over there and give folks some comment-love.
